Revenge is sweet. After dropping Mrs. C. off, Tommy told Willy all about her side plan. Willy liked it but wasn’t too sure it was the right thing to do. After all, they were just trying to get the factory reopened. They weren’t supposed to hurt anyone. To which Tommy said, “Hurt? What hurt? No one’s getting hurt here. We’re just proving the old adage that what goes around, comes around. And sometimes it needs a little help coming around.” She smiled, “That’s where we come in.”
Willy listened to the plan again, quietly thought about it and then started to laugh.
She declared, “Tommy, you’re right. If I can move here all the way from Illinois and cut my hair, all to get a factory open again, I think that putting your plan into motion is the least Tiffany can do to help the cause. Let’s start looking through magazines and come up with the right picture.”
Tommy retrieved a stack of old magazines from Charlie’s room and the two friends poured through them for ages. They just couldn’t find the right look though. That was when Tommy got another idea. She said to Willy, “Come on, follow me into my mom’s room. I just remembered she’s got the perfect photo in one of her old modeling portfolios.”
The girls went into Mr. and Mrs. Andretti’s bedroom and Tommy pulled out a bunch of leather portfolios from under the bed.
“Here, start looking in these. You’ll get more ideas than you thought possible.”
Ginger Andretti was a famous model in the eighties and the cover of all of her old portfolios had a name embossed on each of them.
Willy gasped, “Tommy, do these say what I think they say?”
Tommy laughed, “They sure do! They all say ‘Wilhelmina.’ My mom was with the Wilhelmina modeling agency in New York.” She added, “It’s one of the best agencies in the world, named after some famous model, Wilhelmina something or other."
Willy was astounded by this news. There was a famous model named Wilhelmina who opened her own agency? Not only that, but it was one of the best agencies in the world? Wow, this was an empowering moment. Willy started to like her name a bit more.
